Sunday Scripture

In case you had a hard time hearing him, as we haven't even begun working on the whole "speak slowly and clearly" thing, he's saying Romans 8:16. Sorry the video's so dark. We need to find some lamps that we like so it's not so dim in our house at night.

This is so fun to watch! It's so cool to hear little children recite something they've memorized. Especially when it's scripture.

Wow, he has grown so much! YAY for him memorizing the scripture. I haven't yet been able to get Andrew to memorize anything scripture-wise.

I agree, Tianna, it's a lot of fun.

Keeley, it's not really something that we do on a day, more like a long-term bedtime project. As we tuck him in, I have him repeat the scripture after me. We start with 2-3 word phrases then lengthen them out as he learns it. I try to do it every day, but we're not really 100% with it. Now that he's got the Romans scripture down so well, we're doing it about every other day, and he's started working on the First Article of Faith. Also, because he's terribly scared of the dark, I'm having him do 2 Timothy 1:7. He's got a limit of about 2 per day, and he definitely lets me know if he's not in the mood to do one or the other, LOL! But we persist, and it eventually takes. I've been looking forward to doing this particular post for about 3 weeks, because I could tell that he was getting close. But it's taken that long to go from close to able to say it on his own consistently. Have you had a look at the memory boxes?
