Weight Loss Progress

I'm down one pound since last week's weigh-in: 190. I did very well with my exercise this week, and did yoga 4 or 5 times (I'd have to look on my chart to see exactly how many). While I was mindful of my food, I didn't count calories this week much at all, which is perhaps why it's only 1 pound rather than 2. But 1 pound is progress and I like that!

What kind of yoga are you doing? Are you doing it with a class, or is it something that you do at home?

Thank you for putting those YouTube vids for Ron Paul up, it was nice to be able to show them to my guy to better explain why I was supporting Ron Paul. Now he's a Ron Paul fan too!

I have Susanne Deason's Yoga for Weight Loss video, which I really like, but I don't really try to watch anymore because it's too frustrating to try to do videos & be the Mom. But I used to do that one regularly & that's where I learned about doing yoga. I also do martial arts, which really helps with figuring out the body mechanics & alignment. Anyway, I got the book Power Yoga, which I really like. It makes a lot of sense to me. So I've been working on the routines in that book. I can do 5 of Sun Salutation A, and 1 of Sun Salutation B, and I usually do a few extra standing poses, couple of odds n ends cuz I'm not strong enough to do more of the Sun Salutations - B has been kicking my butt since I really have no upper body strength to speak of. But I'm making progress. At the start I was just doing 3 reps of A and that was all I could do. So I'm getting there.

Glad the videos were useful! I have thought about getting more involved with his campaign, but just doing things like posting the videos is more than I've ever done before. I've never felt like there was a candidate worthy of my respect before. It's a good feeling.
