Roflol! We could get this to go viral!
Lightening rods??? Is it enough? Almost sounds like the end times to me!!!
my hubby is banging his head against his desk and lamenting that this ridiculous quote will be parroted for the next two years.
When all you will talk to is press that "behaves" you have to expect problems... they did a better job of making problems than I thought they would, though.
Setting aside the obvious "title" difficulties this talking head is having, there are still serious problems with what he has to say: Obama is the President of the United States of America. His first and foremost concern should be, "Is this best for America?"The sentiments expressed by this talking head (whose name I forget), are that Obama is doing something greater than America. This cannot be a thought that Obama ever entertains!! Obama's job, his stewardship, is TO AMERICA first!! Ultimately, it's the Citizens of America and God that he's responsible to. Nobody else. There may be consequences from other quarters for things that he does - but the responsibility remains American.
wow. wow.and i agree with your comments about his responsibility--for which he was elected-- is to make america his top priority.
O.H. M.Y. G.O.S.H.That's just wrong on so many levels.Isaiah 5:20-21, 2 Nephi 15:20-21Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
You know what I find scariest? So far as I'm aware, I haven't heard Obama arguing with it. Wouldn't you think that he ought to say, "Woah, guys, that's a bit over the top!"? Has anybody heard that sort of thing from him?
