Sunday Scripture

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
-Proverbs 9:9

...add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge...
-2 Peter 1:5

And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.

Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God.
-Doctrine and Covenants 88:118

Mmm.. good scriptures!

I especially am fond of that whole big list from 2 Peter of things to focus on increasing:

"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord ...
giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(2 Peter 1: 2-8)

Yeah, it's a great list. I decided to just put up the snippet because I was focusing on the knowledge aspect. That's what my lesson was about in Sunday School today. But the whole thing is a wonderful list!
